FAQ’S

YOU GOT QUESTIONS, I GOT THE ANSWERS!

  • Do you have a minimum for on-location services?

Yes, I do have a minimum for all of our on-location services of the bride + three (3) people or the rate equivalent of $800.00 in services Friday - Sunday during the peak season (June - October)

Bride + three (3) or rate equivalent of $1100 in services during long holiday weekend: Friday - Monday of New Year’s Eve/Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas

  • WHAT IF I CAN’T MEET THE MINIMUM? DO YOU OFFER JUST MAKEUP FOR THE BRIDE?

That’s not a problem, I have done Bride-only makeup in the past, however, it still requires the minimum monetary amount for me to travel on-location plus any travel fees

  • WHY IS THE BRIDE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN EVERYONE ELSE?

The price of the bride includes lashes and I also build in the travel fee to service your party on-location. The higher price for the bride covers travel costs within a 15-mile service area from my West Seattle studio.

  • DO YOU TRAVEL?

I sure do! I am 100% mobile and will come to you, so you don’t have to stress about fighting through the Seattle traffic. I will travel anywhere as long as my travel fees and/or accommodation are covered.

  • How long do the makeup services take to do on the wedding day?

I can easily accommodate 6x Makeup services in a 5hr time frame, 45min per attendee and 1hr for you, the Bride, as you get pampered more.
If you have a time restraint, then I would need to bring on a 2nd artist (based on availability)

  • DO YOU HAVE A TEAM? I HAVE A LARGE WEDDING PARTY

I do not have a team, I’m a 1-gal show that loves to do more intimate weddings.

If you have a larger wedding party or on a time restraint, I bring on a 2nd artist (based on availability)

  • DO YOU do hair?

I do not do Wedding Hair. I can give you some referrals to amazing stylists who can do your wedding day hair. My main focus and speciality is perfecting your makeup application so it looks and feels flawless in person and in photos.

  • WHAT BRANDS OF MAKEUP DO YOU USE?

My makeup kit is always changing and rotating with new products, and the best only make it in! My kit contains a variety of pro and high-end luxury brands such as: Sonia Roselli Skin Care, RCMA, Viseart, Senna Cosmetics, Danessa Myricks Beauty, Chanel, Dior, Nars, Kryolan, Hourglass Cosmetics and Charlotte Tilbury.

  • WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRADITIONAL AND AIRBRUSH MAKEUP?

Great question! I wrote a blog post all about it, you can check it out in detail HERE

I personally prefer to work with traditional makeup since I know how to manipulate it to mimic skin, therefore, I have stopped offering airbrush makeup.

  • are you able to do a variety of skin tones?

Absolutely! I am professionally trained and have a makeup kit that can be used on every skin tone. I take this very seriously. I will never tell you to bring your own foundation (unless you have a very specific allergy). I’ve got you covered!

  • are you able to cover blemishes/skin issues?

Yes and No... Blemishes are often raised skin. Raised skin texture can still be noticeable even with makeup coverage. While I can address redness and discolouration, altering the texture of the skin to "flatten" it isn't realistically achievable. Your photographer + good lighting can also minimize the look of it.

If this is something that you want to address 8+ months before your wedding, I suggest you go to a dermatology doctor to talk about laser treatments. Dr.Linnel is who I recommend seeing.

  • When should I do a trial run?

I always recommend doing the trial run 4-5 weeks prior to your wedding date so that your skin colour/texture will be the same. Skin changes every day depending on the environment, your water/food intake, any medications that you’re on, etc. If you decide to do your trial run months earlier, just remember that but the time summer comes around you might be more tanned and the colours we used during your trial in winter might not look the same.

  • CAN I DO A MAKEUP TRIAL BEFORE BOOKING?

Absolutely! If you prefer to do a makeup trial before booking, I suggest coming in as soon as you’re ready especially since I do not hold dates without a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer.

  • How do I book you for my wedding?

You tell me that you are ready to book and I send you an invoice + contract. You have 48hrs to put down your 50% non-refundable retainer and sign the contract. Your retainer goes towards the remaining balance of your invoice.

*Your date is not confirmed until the 50% non-refundable retainer and the signed contract has been received.

  • HOW MUCH IS MY WEDDING MAKEUP DEPOSIT/RETAINER TO HOLD MY DATE?

50% of total contracted services. Balance is due ten (10) days before your wedding day.

  • IS MY DEPOSIT/RETAINER REFUNDABLE IF I CANCEL?

No. Your deposit/retainer is non-refundable in the event you decide to cancel.
