What Makeup Brands Do You Use?

The most common question I get asked is:

“What Makeup Brands do you use? Do you stick to one brand?”

My simple answer is, No, I use a bunch of different makeup brands.

My core makeup kit is made up of high-quality professional brands that are not sold at Nordstrom’s or Sephora. Professional brands that are made to withstand the loooooong hours on a movie set and the hot bright lights on a theatre stage.

SKINCARE: I carry the whole skincare line by Sonia Roselli Beauty. She’s a makeup artist turned skincare creator because she couldn’t find anything on the market that met her needs, so she created her own line. Let me tell you, EVERYTHING that she has created is beautiful and works with every skin type. The Sex-A-Peel exfoliator will literally scuff off layers of dead skin in a matter of seconds so I can see your true skin undertone! Without proper skin care, your makeup won’t look its best.

PRIMER: NONE! Whaaaaaaat?!?? Read my blog post HERE on why you should ditch your primer for proper SKIN CARE.

RCMA Liquid Foundation

FOUNDATION: RCMA creme and liquid, Kyrolan Derma Color

The foundations I carry are made up of oils, waxes, dimethicone, which is a silicon-based oil, and silicon. All of which are long-lasting and I choose and custom mix the right foundation for the type of skin you have.

My favourite one to use is the RCMA creme which was created in 1962 by another makeup artist by the name of Vincent JR Kehoe and the formula hasn’t changed since the day it was created. In 2021, they launched a liquid version and it’s recently been my go-to foundation. If it’s good enough for Queen B singing and dancing around on stage, it’ll be perfect on your wedding day.

BLUSH: Clea Du Peau, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury

I have a selection of liquid, cream and powder blushes and I love to layer them lightly so it has a longer staying power.

You betcha I have the NARS Orgasm in my kit! That colour looks incredible on everyone.

BRONZER: NARS and Chanel

NARS Laguna and the Chanel Tan de Soleil both give the perfect sun-kissed glow, not to mention the Chanel bronzer smells amazing!

EYE SHADOWS: Viseart, NARS, Makeup by Mario, Stila Shimmer & Glow for a little sparkle

When Viseart eye shadows entered the pro makeup world, I knew I had to buy them. They are so pigmented and true to their colour. Have you ever bought an eyeshadow and when you put it on there’s barely any colour?? Not with the Viseart shadows, that’s why I love them so much! Plus, there’s hardly any fallout (the leftover shadow bits that fall all over your face)

EYEBROWS: Senna, Clairol Root Touch Up Powder

I love using the Senna Brow Book because it has every shade of natural hair colour found in eyebrows. Have you ever looked at blonde eyebrows and notice it has a tinge of green? This brow book has that tinge of green but made for blonde brow hairs! My best kept (not so) secret is using the Clairol root touch up powder on brows as well. They are made to last all day without giving that caked on waxy look. It’s what I use on my own eyebrows and if you know me, I’m OBSESSED with eyebrow products. Not to mention, it only costs $12!

SETTING SPRAY: PPI Blue Marble Selr

I use a film grade setting spray. It’s specifically made for TV/Film to keep makeup last all day and you can still do touchups overtop without causing any blotchiness.

I take pride in all the brands and products that I carry. Now that you’ve taken a peek at my makeup kit, do you love what you see??
